FAQs

Can Sparked Momentum diagnose my child? No, we do not provide diagnoses. To receive a diagnosis, families typically need to obtain a comprehensive evaluation from a psychologist, developmental pediatrician, or neurologist. We recommend contacting your insurance company to understand their requirements for approval of services.

Does my child need a specific diagnosis to receive ABA services? We believe in helping children reach their goals regardless of their diagnosis. While insurance coverage for services varies by policy, Sparked Momentum is here to support your child’s development through ABA therapy. Please contact your insurance company to learn more about your coverage requirements.

What is the process for getting started with ABA therapy at Sparked Momentum? Once you contact us: 1. We verify your insurance benefits to ensure coverage. 2. After verification and gathering any required documentation, we request authorization for an initial assessment from your insurance. This process can take about two weeks. 3. Following the assessment, we request authorization for services, which can also take about two weeks. Throughout the process, our team keeps you informed every step of the way.

What role do parents and caregivers have in the therapy process? Parents and caregivers are a vital part of our therapy process. You are required to be present during sessions at home and encouraged to collaborate and actively participate. Research shows that when parents are involved, therapy outcomes improve significantly. Through our Caregiver Coaching service, we provide the training and support you need to continue therapy strategies at home.

Where are ABA services provided? We offer flexible service locations to meet your child’s needs. Therapy sessions can be held at home, school, daycares, and in the community. Our team will work with you to determine the best settings that support your child’s learning and comfort.

Do you accept my insurance? We currently accept Cigna, BCBS, Aetna, Tricare, and Family Empowerment Scholarship (formerly known as Gardiner Scholarship). This list is continuously changing, so if your insurance isn’t listed, please contact us directly for the most up-to-date information. We’re committed to helping families access the services they need.
